Anyone tried this yet?

There are files on P2P.

I think it is way tooooo bloated (everything is jumbo sized) and they copied the contact search off google talk.

only new features I found useful were the timestamp and file sharing.

I guess this is very early beta.

EDIT: it seems that it can't even log in and talk to people properly yet, you appear to be online but others can't see you

Firstly MSN is no longer known as MSN. It'll be called "windows live messenger" from 8.0 onwards. (how inspiring!)

Its an internal alpha build. (Its not even in Beta yet), therefore i wouldnt recommend you use it. If you want to check it out for a few minutes, well go ahead, but its not stable or developed enough for long term use.

Oh and yeah you cant sign in due to new anti-leak technology. The server will reject the connection attempt if your email isnt on the beta-tester/microsoft dev list. A patch is avaliable to by-pass that (by forcing a connection on 7.5's protocol msnp12 instead of 8.0s 13) But as a consequense most features wont work.

The history of Microsoft is a progressive bloatfest. I find it strange you are surprised. :)

Trillian is the way to go.

i will laugh at you if you still have those phat tabs. they are effing annoying. and the stupid handwriting plugin GAY. oh yes nudges...die.

won't try 8.0 beta until it starts appearing on some websites

VV without those thumbnails

and the attachment is the 2 programs to get rid of the tabs. msn universal patcher does not work in version 7.5(although it does work in vers 6-7) so i added the 7.5 one

Nudges are great if you get MSN Plus. When someone nudges you, you nudge them back like 20 times until they beg you for forgiveness.

I also turned mine off, but if I see it says " Joe Blogs just sent you a nudge." I'll reciprocate.

Yeah, under privacy tick something like, 'This is a shared computer so don't display my tabs'.

I think I'll stick to 7.5... I'd rather run an older version which is a bit more stable and compatible with my MSN Plus + Chat Logging...
