Hey,
I'm currently in a class of 3 for Music 2 and the only one in Music Ext. I want to solidify a program for my HSC performance pretty quick and work on them.
I'm doing extension performance and the two electives of music 2 will be performance as well, so all up I need 6 performances including the core.
I do enjoy jazz and primarily metal - I'm looking for 6 pretty good songs to perform when HSC time comes around.
My current Program is heading around these pieces -
Steven Wilson - The Birthday Party (Ext. Ensemble Piece.)
Dream Theater - Bridges in the Sky OR This is the Life (Ext. Solo.)
Guthrie Govan - Waves (Ext. Solo.)
For music 2, primarily it has to be classically driven - or at least up until 1989 (Music from 1945 - 25 years ago.)
In this section, I wish to play
Beethoven's 'Moonlight' Sonata and blend all three movements into one, keeping it in the original key of C# Minor for technicality.
An Iron Maiden piece before 1989.
And really that's all I have. I feel the need to have more classical and just generally older pieces. Any suggestions of what you recommend or have played before? Would really apprecaite it
