I don't think anyone would because it is a limited area, and not such a good course without Uni qualifications.

Only my thoughts of course.

I'm going to do a Cert IV in Music (not industry) and then transfer into a B Mus (performance) at either the Con or UNSW

I don't know much about the entry criteria for Conservatoriam and UNSW but i think a cert 4 is not sufficient for entry as i think you would need a least a diploma or above for entry.

yeah its true
u need at least diploma with distinction average marks at tafe in order to be accepted into UNSW
but you can get accepted into B Music at UWS with cert IV pass grades

"If you hold completed TAFE qualifications including advanced diploma, diploma, associate diploma or AQF Certificate Level IV or above you are eligible to be considered for admission. However, due to the high demand for places in most programs, successful applicants generally require a credit or above average with no failures. Trade certificates are not acceptable for admission purposes."

and i'll easily get a distinction average at Cert IV

Well good luck with your study then and hope you succed
but i do recommend you to at least get a diploma cause it's safer to be over qualified then just on the mark.
But everything aside do whats best for you.

yeah, i have decided to go from a Cert IV then a Adv Dip then 2nd year uni. takin it easy ;)
