I've read parts of it. It's vague and generally incoherent, probably so that many interpretations can be taken so that those in charge can make you live your lives how they want you to.

Even if the koran is beautiful, how does that prove its the word of God? It doesn't, hence you're full of shit.

This "hard headed" person has always had his beliefs open to question, that's why he converted from Christianity to agnosticism. If you'd allow yourself to question your beliefs in a similar way you probably would too, but alas you are the hard headed one.

well to answer your question about it being vague.. the whole point is for it to be a book that has signifigance in years, ages and times to come.. this shows that the QURAN takes into account the changes that will occur in contexts..
(i thought you would have figured that out by now)--matrix quote{oracle}

Oh please... The beauty and sophistication? Please justify this.

God should have just made another book appear - what an idiot. Isn't it much more likely that the reason it's so vague (I honestly don't believe many sections are vague, I just think your elaborate confabulations make their meanings vague, where as it is actually fairly clear) is because it is a work created by men who did not have the sophistication of a God? I mean... what sort of omnipotent God has these sort of limits?

well as veterandoggy has stated many times before.. if i GOD just told us, oh well in ten years this and this will happen and in a couple more years later you'll have this and this.. does it make sense to actually follow this god??? obviously if no 1 happens yes but this is not the whole point of religion it is to have faith in something you believe

Ok - So God wants everyone on earth to believe in him without any proof... why even bother writing a book then? He should have just wrote two words "God Exists." Throughout these books there are claims being made, they are just inaccurate/wrong, it is obvious that whoever wrote the book was attempting to make claims, provide answers etc and they just got them wrong because they are not God.

NTB your impossible to talk to you have such biased ideas.. you are even worse than some extremist muslims i have talked to.. you just say that the quran is wrong and stop. You deny that god exists and you try without success to prove voids in the world that can only be explained with the presence of a higher being

If god wanted everyone to believe him even with a lack of evidence, he wouldn't have bestowed humans with the capacity to reason.

yeh why would god provide a book to live by, which obviously says he exists, with out showing himself. It doesnt make sence. If god wanted people to have faith in him , he should never have said he exists in a book but rather let people just gain faith after living their lives and comming to a conclusion that we should pray to god. Or if god wanted people to know of him and the rules he gave are true and valid, he would have gone a step further and showed himself to verify they are really by him.

see my above point.. it would basically contardict the whole point of religion...
if he did show himself then it would be like "ok now we believe in you" but thats not what it is about

Some things can only be explained through the presence of a higher being?

I do try to explain the voids in the world without the use of a higher being... because that's actually trying to find an answer, if everyone had thought as you do then there would not have been answers found to many things. For example, we see thunder in the sky and can't explain it... you say God did it, I provide another possible theory (which is however incomplete) and you tell me to stop it because it can only be explained by a higher being. "God did it" is an answer to anything that does nothing.

If Muslims are so sure God exists why has noone tried to take a chip off that rock in Mecca to take it away for testing?

OMG, i was just thinking how islam is much more lets say better more justifyable religion than christanity.

Christanity is a joke when it comes to religion. The Bible being manipulated many times, jesus having orgys etc. Then we come to the modern world, where christians only pray once week - whats the points praying then.

Then we have as a result of christanity the destruction of indegenoud races- abos, african blacks. Remember islams doesnt have slaves, but christanity did.

The religon is ridiculous in that you call jesus GOD. How is that possible? jesus was a human being not god. And how do you know how he looks like, the exact height and beard length etc, and if he was god how can you disprespect him by idolling him on the cross.

Also jesus cannot be god, because he was a male, and god has no gender! From this we can see that islam gives more equality to women than christanity - its upfront.

Um not really, all things that use super natural explanations are about as good as each other...

Christanity is a joke when it comes to religion. The Bible being manipulated many times, jesus having orgys etc. Then we come to the modern world, where christians only pray once week - whats the points praying then.
How is it a joke? They feel they only need to pray once a week, how is that less admirable than praying 24/7?

Then we have as a result of christanity the destruction of indegenoud races- abos, african blacks. Remember islams doesnt have slaves, but christanity did.
This is not the result of christianity, this is the result of imperialism... we can look many islamic countries and see that different races/religions have been prejudiced against severely also and to this day still are - while predominately christian nations have made leeps and bounds.

The religon is ridiculous in that you call jesus GOD. How is that possible? jesus was a human being not god. And how do you know how he looks like, the exact height and beard length etc, and if he was god how can you disprespect him by idolling him on the cross.
They have great explanations for all of this... From my understanding jesus is a part of god and he was the mortal embodyment of god upon earth so that god could spread his word. They do not claim to know exactly what he looked like... The cross is very symbolic for christians, they believe the purpose of him dying on the cross was to carry our sins, this is not a mark of disrespect but of utmost respect for their god who was willing to sacrafice his own son (still a part of him... it's complex i'm aware) for them.

Also jesus cannot be god, because he was a male, and god has no gender! From this we can see that islam gives more equality to women than christanity - its upfront.
It's just a mortal body for God to use in order to spread his word.

dude why be stupid?? seriously well just go in there and chip a bit off for someone to prove to us what we already know.. and thats not the point no muslims would ever agree to do that..

yeah and why would he do this if ppl had faith to believe in him. it doesn't add up. god doesn't need a mortal form to spread his message
