Hey all, not sure if anyone heard QTAC before? Its Qld stuff to apply for uni. So yea i started to get more listed now. As my first choice i dream to go to Griffith Gold Coast. Does it really help me to get into uni when i choose more options what i wanted to go for uni's?

Here my list for application of uni:

1. Griffith Gold Coast (Bs Of Earth Sciences) UAI 64

2. UNE Armidale (Bs of majors in Earth GIS) UAI 62

3. USQ Toowoomba/Springfield (Bs of Climatology) UAI 69

4. JCU Townsville/Cairns (Bs of Meterology) UAI 65

Well, there's not really much point in putting courses with higher UAI cutoffs than your first few preferences in, as if you miss out on those, you'll most likely not get offered them either. Unless the cutoffs dramatically change or something.

Yet you still shouldnt order your preferences based on UAI cutoffs. They should be ordered simply based in the order you would wish to receive them, with one or two at the end acting as a 'safety-net'.

NorthRiversMatt, I'm not sure that I fully understand what it is that you are asking, but it is the case that the more preferences you place, the more courses that you can be assessed for, and thus the more likely it is that you will be offered a place.
But, since you really want to go to Griffith Gold Coast, are you able to put more than one preference down for that uni? Are there other courses at that campus that would allow you to transfer into the course that you really want? Think about it that way, personally, my preferences are all for the same uni bar one.

You got that right firstly. Yes i thinking to put down two more for Griffith, adding another sort of Bs Science course. Umm yes transferring to Toowoomba and Townsville for weather/climate subjects.

Uh, correct me if i'm wrong, but if you need a UAI 61-64, shouldn't you be aiming a little higher than what it says in your signature?
