It has shit build quality. You're obviously a n00b if you dont know the flaws of that case. If you had an idea, you would have bought lian li, not the shitty 1mm thin thermaltake one.
lol, when you start lugging your computer around you will know to get a light case

Ah. I wish I had my Apple IIc now.

Because it would whoop the arse of any computer afore mentioned in this thread. (Except Sunny, I think you do OK too...)

Oh: btw: You are a FOOL for spending 7K on a computer.
Unless of course you are working for Pixar and using Maya/Lightwave.
Or designing for Activision.

Which I assume you are not.

My 2K job does Word three and a half times better than yours does, because I spent 3.5 times less on it.

And why degrade a good system with a set of bloody SATELLITE/SUBWOOFER speakers? Thats even more foolish. Especially if you had that kind of money. Why not do it properly?
Run your SB through a Marantz amp, and feed it into a set JBLs.

And what, you probably only get an extra 2000 points above me on 3DMark01.
3DMark03 doesnt count, because it relies more heavily on graphics card. Your 9800XT whatever will always score 5K+.
Have you even bothered to test your system with 3DMark01/03? I'd actually like to see screenshots of what it scores.
Or did you just buy it because you thought it would be the best?

Back to what you said sunny, we bought an Apple IIc for about $500 back in the day (second hand, we couldnt afford it when it was new) (which is a lot of money for this:

Specifications:
Processor: 65C02 processor running at 1-4 MHz, the fastest of any Apple II.
Memory: came with 128k of RAM expandable to 1 MB.
Display: a 9" green Flat Panel Display on a tilt monitor.
Ports: The Apple IIc 2 serial ports, a mouse port, and a disk port.

Operating Systems:
ProDOS: all versions.
MouseWorks: ProDOS-based GUI similar to GS/OS and Mac OS interfaces.

wOOtAH!

We sold it for $50 to a schoolkid a few years later.

But I wouldnt buy your computer in a few years. Its not going to be collectible. Unfortunately we got rid of what would be quite valuable these days.

If anyone see's a IIc at a garage sale, please tell me...

hmm... my first computer seems pretty powerful compared to that

apple LCII with 17Mhz processor
monocrome monitor (later upgraded to 256 colour one)
40meg HD
4 meg ram

funny thing is it ran system 7 happily, which shows the bloatedness of macos X

ah, the days when operating systems came on a couple of floppies

It barely ran simcity 2000.

hey anyone out there can beat this system?
Abit IC7 Max 3
Pentium 4 Extreme Edition 3.2 @ 3.6
1024Mb Twinx pc3700 RAM
Radeon 9800XT
550Watt PSU
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS
21 inch trinitron monitor
2 x 74Gig raptors in RAID
1 x 120 gig 7200RPM HD
Dvd Burner
In gaming performance, mine can. Only because I have the better video card though (Radeon X800XTPE vs Radeon 9800XT)

You should do some 3DMark03 and 01SE scores, I'm keen on seeing what kind of marks you'd be getting with that. Remember though, your video card is the bottleneck here.

didnt the x800 outperform the 6800? in the majority of resolutions? in apcmag i think?
Mm.. depends on the games here. I'm kinda worried for Doom 3, due to nVidia's better OGL. But Cat 4.7 is bridging the gap quite a bit with improvements to their stencil shading etc. But of course the biggest thing which annoys me about buying the X800XT over the 6800 Ultra is ATI's lack of Shader 3.0 support.

At the moment, 3.0 just seems to be a faster way to do 2.0 and according to recent benchmarks there were only very minute increases in frames for Far Cry (w/ patch 1.1).. so that's why I decided to get the X800 over the 6800 in the end. Doom 3 just better not screw up for me.

ATi and nVidia are so close now its not funny. X800 Pro is still better but, for price moreso.
I tend to disagree with that. From a few benchmarks I've seen, the 6800 GT seems to beat the X800 PRO. But in terms of the Radeon X800XT/XTPE going against the Geforce 6800 Ultra/Ultra Extreme.. they are exorbitantly close it's not funny. One excels at certain games, and the other excels at others. Benchmark wise, they are similar.

I beat you all like I beat my wife

*pulls out large gay trout and slaps Asylum in the face*

I meant to say X800XT, my bad guyz. Still I prefer ATi cos the improvements made in the past years, overtaking the magnate nVidia.
