I'm watching this movie as we speak (at uni) and its brutal! The story goes like this: a gangsta leader never went to high school but wants to go to college. so he goes to high school. may seem kinda boring but its brutal, why? real hitting, no joke. in the story a teacher beat up kids and its full on slapping on the head. a scene where this girl is grabbed by the collar and slapped...u can tell its real as with each slap her face gets redder and redder! Not to mention the slapping violence every few minutes. I'm loving this movie!

I wonder whether this is the type of culture in Korea where you take out your anger and frustration on fellow classmates, friends, colleages by slapping the life outt them?

slapping students is a norm in asian schools.

^ ? No, teachers can't slap, hit etc students anymore. They used to be able to, but that was changed a few years ago I think.

How come you get to watch this movie at uni btw?

I downloaded it on the filesharing network. I've just finished watching 'My Sassy Girls' which is a Japanese comedy about a group of girls learning jazz, its fantastic!
