haha now you can type like little teenagers in chatrooms, who think it makes them cool because they interchange from normal to caps

You can sell the keyboard on eBay. AOLspeak without the age requirement.

Anyways, perhaps there's a wire loose in your keyboard, and as you type and move the keyboard about the wire connects and disconnects, enabling and disabling Caps Lock. If you really don't like it, there is an option in Windows to toggle off the Caps Lock. I think it's in the Accessibility tab in the Control Panel, but I'm not positive.

I thinK its more along the lines of what fatmuscle said, because when i press any of the numbers, it alternates between numbers and the symbol which comes up when you press SHIFT.. ie, 1 = ! 2 = @ 3 = # etc.

But i'm not pressing Shift, so it must be an electrical fault.

I reckon that it's a software thing... like some programs can control your capslock button, and it might just be a buggy driver... this happened with my laptop and cordless keyboard and the Dell software/Logitech iTouch software conflict before-

Try hooking up another keyboard and see if that works?

Do you know the major problem with having this keyboard doing this? passwords that are case sensitive. i am always being told that my password is incorrect when i know i typed it right.

^^ yay, a post without the alternating text problem

Is the problem still occurring or was it that you were pressing Shift? If it is a hardware problem with the keyboard then you will either need to fix it if it is expensive or just buy a new one.

Yeh its a hardware problem, its a problem with my left shift key (slamming it down so many times over the years has killed it) and its uber sensitive now. Hmm, time for a New keyboard.
