Okay, so life as I know it isn't exactly over per se, it's just ... Well, stressful at the moment.

There are reasons why the Personal Interest Project was given out last year. To spend time researching, analysing, synthesising, writing, perfecting.

ALL OF THIS WAS NOT MEANT TO BE DONE IN ONE ENTIRE FREAKING NIGHT.
But alas, procrastination has prevailed and to this moment I have only written just over 600 words. Whoa - effort!

Funnily enough, I have wasted an entire day just making sure my log and the start of my intro are as close to perfect as possible, by including a myriad of adjectives and language techniques and writing it as close to High Distinction standard as I can.

I don't have time for this, right? Should I just be focusing on DOING my PIP to get it in on time (realistically I have what, 12 hours) or should I risk the time limit and try to do my PIP to the high standard that I want it to be...? I have no Central Material, no proper or substantial research, no nothing! I spent the day at the library yesterday, photocopying articles and I borrowed a few books relevant to my topic. Other than that, nilch.

"'Bloody Bulletins' - How the portrayal of violence in the news media socialises our Australian society, impacts our senses, and influences our views."

Is that even a good enough topic... Something tells me it doesn't make sense, but then again, I'm running on no sleep and caffeine so my perceptions of things are somewhat distorted right now.

I like your topic. Sounds good, and a catchy title. On a side note, lovely rant you got going there :p

Hahaha.

Notice that i'd rather rant then actually produce something constructive?

11:17pm: Slight modification of topic.
Word limit remains the same.

Constructing these chapters has proven to be much harder than I had initially thought.

Blahhhhh.

More... Coffee...

Why don't you cut internet access for the next 9-10 hours and produce the masterpiece within you :p

Good luck!

9 - 10 hours?

*sighs.

I wish. I've only got about 6 hours left now.

Still 700 words.

Bahahahaha.

This thread will probably end up with me in a delusional state talking to myself.

Shall let you know how it goes!

Join the club! A friend of mine and a girl I found on BOS tonight have been sitting on MSN contemplating our fate and talking about starting our PIP. Ha, how productive hey?

My friend hasn't started.

I have written my log, and most of my introduction.

That is all.

I've gathered a lot of my research and stuff, but as I've mentioned previously, I can't help but spend a lot of my time perfecting every little sentence rather than moving on to the bigger project.

I'm screwed.

lol at least you have people on your msn to talk about this shit to!!! Freakin im all alone man!!! lol I stated like last week!!!, For a whole year we had lessons dedicated to this pip, what do I do, go on Ebay and Bebo instead of at least starting my PIP lol, Funnily enough my class mate is doing her pip on students leaving their assessments to the last minute!!!Serioously the intro is the easiest of them all!!It only took me an hour to my whole intro, my teacher had to slice it in half apparently it was too much!!!But Your not screwed!!!look at all the other forums on pips, they had usefull outlines on how to do the whole PIP!!!
I feel you pain and angst lol, My weekend has involved minimal sleep and being drugged up on coffee

No caffeine for me, besides a cup of tea... Can't beat real teapot Madura premium blend. Mmmm.

My S&C teacher picked up my pip at 8am this morning from my house so that I can sleeeeeep. Friendly little fellow, although I have to admit he's kind of just sat us in front of videos throughout the course.

Now I have to start my Pop Culture assessment and some random thing for community and family :-/ trials are next week! Yay.

Did everyone else get their pips done?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Mine was due yesterday but I had also procrastinated; I did/am doing mine on the gender roles of female videogame characters compared to the gender roles of females depicted in popular culture (I swear it's less complicated in the actual PIP!) I started it on the weekend and it's 5 am and I've yet to finish...GAH! I hate being so unmotivated.

So anyway, yeah. I predict that I shall get a big fat zero for this; but ah well.

:worried:
