Thanks for the replies. What do you guys know about the scaling difference between General and Advanced Maths? Is a mark of say 75 in Advanced and 90 in General the same because of scaling?

One more thing: I'm thinking of doing Psychology at uni. Do any of you know were I can get more info on how I can get into the course at a Sydney uni? What's the best uni for a course like this? The most respected, stuff like that.

I can account for UWS, as mentioned elsewhere, UWS' psychology faculty is the largest in NSW, surpassing Sydney Uni's and Macquarie's. It is the ONLY Australian University to be ranked in the top 10 universities for teaching psychology by the American Psychological Society. I have been told also that UWS has more Psychology professors than USyd (more than triple).

MacQ is ranked the highest for pyschology in Australia, 5th in the world

Whilst they are advanced, I doubt they are the are ranked the highest, they don't even have one professor in their faculty.
