Oh yes, War and Peace, Crime and Punishment and Eugene Onegin are all excellent. Let me have a think for suggestions though. I read a whole bunch of the 'classics' when I was 14 or 15. There's a lot of crap in there and I would strongly suggest you stay away from Balzac.

Those are my favourites out of the forty or so novels I read at the age of 14. I had a lot of spare time that year.
