I do

2U Maths
Music 1
Std English
Information Processes Technology
Software Design And Development

The SAM UAI calculator seems to say,
that i need to get 80 in all my subjects to scrape a mere 70?

Like, sick school, they said "all your subjects scale quite well, you could do advanced english, but thats your choice".

MUSIC SCALES TERRIBLEY

And, to top it off, my music teacher is a complete half wit. :D

I need a MINIMUM of 70 to atleast keep my options open (barely),

Help?

haha according to SAM, a 80 in std is better than an 80 in adv.

Myth:
Doing hard and extension subjects will scale your UAI up and achieve a high UAI.

Fact:
You can get a High UAI with any subject as long as you do well in all of them.

I disagree, its more like

Myth: Doing hard and extension subjects will scale your UAI up even if you dont get good marks and dont put in much effort

except that, arguably, doing 'hard' and 'extension' subjects might boost your uai - that slight difference can mean 69.95 or 70.10?
lolol

edit: agree with LordPC to some extent

That's a pipe dream. It's virtually impossible to do in realistic terms.

marks, subjects, uai?
depends what people consider a "good" uai.
I got 93.30 with:
English std - high band 5
General math - high band 5
Pdhpe - mid band 6
Business studies - band 6
Retail VET (one of the worst scaling subjects) - band 6

lol, thats actually pretty damn good with what are considered to be poor scaling subjects

id agree that you can get any UAI with any combination of subjects, its just harder to ace certain subjects, particularly humanities which are more subjective then the maths and sciences.

Why the hell do you think at 93+ Modern has insane scaling. Because it's much harder to predict the questions. In Chem etc as long as you know the textbook backwards, you rape it.

yeah ur screwed ... SAM gave me a higher estimate than what i got (which was 90.15)

as long as ur estimate is greater then ur uni course ur good... once ur in uni no one cares about ur mark...

just check out the bonus point system for each uni... an extra 5 bonus points goes a long way!

i thought that much, just gotta start doing more work (i was always one of those people, who cruised thru the years, doing damn well with almost no work)
its not gonna happen this year though
haha

i get 4 extra bonus points (thank god!)
since i live on the central coast, lol :D happy about that

and at darkprincess28, im in my HSC year this year.

i expect around 80 in 2U maths, thoughts on dropping to general maths, to get much higher?

once again, thanks in advance for your contributions :D
