Ok it has become apparent that I really should clean my notebook monitor, the question however remains as to how?

Is it alrite to use any liquid cleaners?
Anti-static cloth only?
etc etc

Anyone in your house wear glasses ? I'd use a microfibre cloth (most people with glasses will have one) to clean it. Don't use any powerful solvents on it.

Vinegar... eewww..
The weak base in the detergent and weak acid in the vinegar would react in a Neutralisation reaction to form their conjugate acid-base pairs.. failure to add enough detergent would leave your screen slightly acidic and stinks like vinegar.

Hehe. I knew there was a reason why I dropped chemistry. It actually works fairly well, but I should add I enjoy the smell of vinegar.

I used to drink it (in small amounts).
