Maybe a bit late to reply but I graduated with a nanotechnology major last year and finding a job in the field has been quite difficult. It seems that most of the jobs seem to be in research groups at select universities. It may be a few years before commercial jobs are widely available. In saying that, it's a very broad degree and teaches you concepts in many areas, so there are a lot of jobs outside nano specifically that you could get.

I think if you plan to get a job in nano you have to be prepared to do postgraduate study and get decent marks to impress senior researchers.
