Well, they don't show North American sports because of its low level of popularity and the fact that that sport is mostly exclusive to USA and Canada. On the other hand, Soccer is aired on our TVs, mainly the English ones.

No. Sorry. American sports are SO commerical it is not funny. I hate it. They are individualised, money driven, and excessively glamourous and showy.

yeah that's true too but it seems like people there love their sport in a different way then we do. the whole atmosphere seems so0o0o0o0ooo fun. i'd kill to go any grid iron/ice hockey/basketball game.

Can't love your American sports too much - as it is NBA and not NBL (NBL is Australian basketball). True about seeing one of these sports live. NFL has the highest average crowds of any sport in world (AFL is third).

I love the US sports. They are so stat driven, there is a stat for everything. Unfortunately I can't always see my favourite teams as Foxtel only tends to show the game of the week. To whoever asked, yes AFL is on TV in America-its on cable TV.
