The router we got atm is complete shite and i think we need a new one.
Reception gets pretty crappy sometimes, at times the internet disconnects and then connects a few mins later as if nothing ever happend.

It's a d-link 802.11g 2.4GHz, and on my laptop i got a sticker with specs written on it, in the wireless section its got 802.11abgn + BT. Im assuming BT is bluetoothm, and the 802.11abgn means i can utilise the high speed abgn wifi thingo.
Any disadvantages of abgn?

So whats a good abgn router?

Whats the router model? Maybe theres a good firmware upgrade or 3rd party firmware for it that can save you some $$.

My WRTG54G used to crash whenever something like BT left too many connections hanging and needed constant rebooting - changing to 3rd party firmware solved that.

Netgear are utterly useless pieces of shit. Get a Linksys and install custom firmware.
