hey:

I'm really stuffed for chem!!

This girl on BOS (Minnai, is that how you spell your name??) told me that I need to do good in chem to get a good uai!!!!!

I'm desperate, I'll do anything!!

Please someone help me study. How do I study chem?????

everyone seems to rave about revising the dot points because the questions come straight from the syllabus........

reading notes is good too

The best way to study for chem IMO is to write notes straight from the dot-points, and do many practice questions from Success One, past trials etc which provide model answers.

yep basically just make summaries of notes straight from the dot points!
And PLENTY of practise papers!!!! Our teacher has been giving us lots for homework lately!
Maybe u could ask your teacher to do something similar? It really helps!

Also, you probly would like to practise giving yourself a random dot-point to answer, esp. ones with "higher order verbs" (such as "assess", "evaluate" etc.). And if your teacher does suck, like mine, go get a good tutor.

yeah. but just studying from the dot points and memorising it doesn't work.
(as i discovered)
the thing i didn't do tho is try past papers :/
that was for my half yearly anyway hehe
so there's still time to make up for it.

chem for me was like stuffing a load of useless garbage into my head. walk into the test and excrete the info

i didnt study for it all year long, summarised the syllabus b4 the final exam and just got into band 6. So as everyone has said, chem, like all the other sciences is something that's worth summarising with the syllabus dot points.
If you have time, den doing practice questions would be heaps good.

Or even if you like chem, that's even better. Coz i totally hated it.

how can you tell if the person is a guy or girl??

going through dot points does help a little but you also need some extended knowledge (sorry this is probably for the thread starter but i am too lazy

yea, u gotta learn all the stuff from the dot points.. and THEn practice q's, past papers etc.. ur not gonna get anywhere just cramming from the points, u gotta practice trust me, from experience
