Need help with using t formulae to solve trigonometric equation. (1 Viewer)

The question is:

cosA + sinA = -1/2 , 0 < A < 360.

I need help solving this question as I have forgotten how to apply the t formulae to solve equations.

draw the triangle and sub in the values. You get a quadratic and solve that. you should know where to go from there

alternatively you can use the auxiliary method.

there are some free 3U maths notes in my sig :D
