O.K, i've yet to decide of an exact topic, but i need to make a survey for people in the army.

Now it will be a questionare and what i want to know is peoples socials views on the military and national service (comparing aus military with singapore)

So anyway, ive made a brainstorm of the things i'll look into.

* social attitudes on the military
*expectations --> directions of where sing/aus military will take you.
*social class military heirachy
*rituals and festivals e.g anzac day
*memorials and their place in society/inportance
*value of the military in society
*social importance (relevance to society)
*cultural heritage - traditional role of military, power & authority

thats what ive got down on paper, i just need to make some questions that wont waste time and will get some good info. can someone please help?

you cana dd me to msn or email me

msn: jazza_here@hotmail.com

This seems fine. You have a comparison between two countries which makes up part of your cross-cultural component. You have also covered society, persons and time. Just start building up on your questionnaire.

Yes, you do need to have quality questions in order to get the answers you need. For example, with social importance - maybe you can ask 'how important do you think the military is to society' and list options: very important, important, less important, not important at all etc to get an idea on how people consider military in society and then expand from there.

No worries! I was in your position a year ago. Before you know it, it will all be over!:)
