Need to find a website developer for company website (1 Viewer)

Couldn't figure out where to post, so I posted here.

I started a company recently and will be in need of a company to develop the website for it. It will require database management and e-commerce options. The site must look very professional, as it targets HR executives. I have put together a very detailed brief about what exactly is required.

How would I go about finding someone to develop it for me? What should I look out for? How much should I be willing to pay? Would I purchase the URL myself, as well as hosting, or will they do it for me?

Also, would you recommend outsourcing to India for development?

If you want someone to do the graphical design for your page, there was a guy who went to High and does graphic design for webpages. His name is Bennett, and his work is pretty decent. http://www.b2n2t.com/ is his site. His folio isn't up yet, but if you e-mail him, he'll send you links to some of the pages he's designed. Hey, I'm a web developer/designer.

for a high end design and a website that includes search engine optimisation, content management and a store you'd be looking at around the $3000 dollar mark for starters.

design can range from $1000 to $1500 for custom design with flash objects and all the bells and whistles
pages are about $150-250 each
e-commerce comes to about $1000
content management is around $500

Different companies handle the pricing differently (often they will give you a quote for an estimated amount of hours)

sorry, I think this is a bit beyond what you could currently offer me. This is a giant project which will include developing an entirely new database management system, and more. I'm currently in talks with another two companies.
