So you want to backup EVERYTHING in your current h/drive, format, then recover EVERYTHING? If so then formating will fix nothing. Your still backing up your old problems and recovering them in the new formated h/drive (ie spywares, virus, stuffed registry etc....).

no, i'm going to back up selected files. movies, mp3z, etc. files that i am sure have no problems.
i'm not gonna backup EVERYTHING!
