net profit same as revenue??? (1 Viewer)

hey guys,

umm just clearing up is net profit the same as reveune.

Eg in this question it gives

1) revenue
2) Expences
3) current assets/liablities
4) non current assets/ liablities

it asks to work out a profitablity ratio... so you work out ROE (NP/OE)... you can get OE by the differnece on the ballance sheet as OE is not included... but for net profit is that just revenue?? is it the same thing?

Sorry, tried to may it as easy as possible to understand.

just clearing up...

Net Profit = Gross Profit - Expenses...

Where Gross Profit = Sales - COGS

Where COGS = Opening Stock + Purchases - Closing Stock
