Hey guys how the hell do u work out the net spin of an atom, im so lost and confused about it

ok, not all elements have atoms with net spin...

basically follow these rules and u can work out net spin for any atom of any element:

if both mass number and atomic number are even, net spin = 0 i.e. NO net spin

if the mass number is odd, regardless of atomic number, net spin = multiple of 1/2

if the mass number is even, and the atomic number odd, net spin = whole number

A even, Z even - 0
A odd - 1/2
A even, Z odd - whole
