You might have noticed that our forum links are now content-based (much like the articles on smh.com.au).

So, instead of having this sort of link:

<a href="http://community.boredofstudies.org/showthread.php?t=96738">http://community.boredofstudies.org/showthread.php?t=96738</a>

We now have:

<a href="http://community.boredofstudies.org/426/uai-hsc-marks-class-2005/96738/all-about-preferences-offers.html">http://community.boredofstudies.org/426/uai-hsc-marks-class-2005/96738/all-about-preferences-offers.html</a>

The new links are longer, but they're much better for search engines.

Please report ANY issues with broken links etc as soon as they're discovered. :)

Thanks.

also, i have noticed the quick reply and edit. very snazzy.

and when you do an advanced search, and type in the name of a member, it bring down a bunch of possibilities after a couple of letters.

very very nice!

:)

...and it seems like the old links works as well (which would be good since we have a lot of them in FAQs and stuff). That's super! All good!

I still wish there was an easy way to bookmark a common search term- for me, it's searching my username to find all my recent posts which have had recent replies.

Yeah I quite like that, I'm more fond of it than the new style -_- Old habits die hard I guess :p

Otherwise the quick edit function is great! =]

Also the newly added "Last Activity" info about your account.
Is it an option tho? coz i've noticed some people don't have it on.

It turns off if you select "Use Invisible Mode" in your options, I believe.

Was wondering, are the new content-based forum links the cause of my browser history having bos threads and forums going in alphabetical order according to the title of the thread/forum? Before it all used to be under "Bored of studies - insert thread name here", but now it's under "insert thread name here - bored of studies". I liked the old way better (easier to delete from my browser history, as I'd like to get rid of it but keep other stuff there). Is there a chance it will go back to the old way? btw, I use Firefox, if that means anything.
Just do a search for Bored and delete all results.
