New criticism & New historicism for Harwoods Poetry (1 Viewer)

Does anyone have any idea about these readings? I'm having more trouble applying New Historicism to the poetry.....

we did some stuff on new criticism...
basically its just the way that you view the text...ok thats too general haha...
one could say that you're ignoring the context of the poem or whatever you're applying the theory to...and just focusing on what you see straight infront of you...so you have to go into lots of detail about techniques etc.
well that's the vague gist i got.

i think i should start studying for 2u religion :S
