haha hi.

okay well this is how the game works:

you estimate my atar, based on my ranks.
closest person to my actual atar (which comes out mid-december, by the way)
gets a prize.

anyway.

school rank (last year): 33. (normally around 10-35)

adv english: 98/120
business: 37/55
economics: 60/80
ancient: 7/9
ext 1 english: 21/29
ext 2 english: 13/13 (got my act sorted at the end, so my hsc ext 2 mark has potential. maybe)

MARKS:

adv english: trial - 57/105, report mark - 71%
business: trial - 76/100, report mark - 68%
economics: trial - 68/100, report mark 71%
ancient: trial - 80/100, report mark 80%
ext 1 english: trial - 33/50, report mark 34/50
ext 2: report mark 28/50

ill keep the prize as a surprise.

OH and. i'm aiming for ninety, so please tell me what my chances are
what i must be looking at for the actual hsc exams
to get the ninety.

thats just for bonus points, no prize.
Man how did ur school allow u to do ext II english with such a rank for Advance English

I think u made a mistake in doing such high english when its no where near ur strongest point..

Anyway no point in harping on about the past, cant change it but u can have some influence on the future
If u work just as hard as u did for ur trials u'l get approx-68
If u work harder-70+..
Remember this is an amateur guess and the HSC is worth 50%

Good luck =]

I'm not so sure about what your ATAR might be - 83.50?

But generally, to get an ATAR of 90+ you need to be in the top 10 -15 positions in each of your subjects, however scaling and such makes a difference - that's just what I've been told anyway, because I need an ATAR of 90 or above as well.

Good luck! :)

lol we only have about 10 students in each class. Does that mean we're all going to get above 90 :D

just joking.

In our situation it's prob like, the first person in each position :)

hey, at sydney tech, do they post the rankings up on noticeboards for everyone to see? or how does it work? i'd say youre looking at 70-75 atm.

Serious?

Awesomeness. :)
Yes definitely! I am being serious. However, in some subjects even if you get like a low band 5 it can scale down. Last year a final mark of 80 in Modern History scaled down to 75 in your UAI.

Aww okay. I don't do Modern History though.

But can you please tell me if any of the following subjects are scaled down?

English (Standard)
Business Studies
Legal Studies
Ancient History
Society and Culture

Thanks heaps.
