Anyone here have Yahoo! (Australian) as homepage? They recently revamped the whole main page.. seems like they must have engaged in some business partnership with Network Seven. But now I think it's absolutely shit.. perhaps enough to make me go back to ninemsn.

Discuss...

Edit: Edited out the links to new and old. Seems like all that's doing is attracting people who didn't even use yahoo.com.au to come and critique the new page; opinions I'am NOT interested in.

the new one is fresh but harder to use because it's unfamiliar.

I agree with that.

P.S I prefer the opinions of people who have had their homepage as yahoo.com.au for quite sometime, so that they were used to the old layout. I understand that people who only just went to those two links would probably prefer the new one, since it looks alot more fresh and contemporary, but again those opinions are not the most relevant to me.

That conclusion is obvious and common sensical, however I don't view it's presentation as polished. The transition is far too harsh, and alienates Yahoo!'s long-time fan base.

...Pardon me?

Anyway I think I'm just so used to the old one that the new layout looks ugly to me, too much red anyway :p

Definately looks better than it used to. Alas, however it wont make me dump google. that has the cleanest homepage of them all.

It doesn't alienate anyone. It looks better than ever. Its good enough for a free web portal.
Do you even use yahoo.com.au as your homepage, politik? Bold generalisation there that it doesn't alienate anyone. Didn't think I'd need to remind you that I was an obvious counterexample, eh?
