I was watching tv and a news report came out on HSC results. Apparently 45 people got 100UAI and girls beat boys by 1% overall.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... 45 ppl got 100 UAI? well thats partialy believable, but compared to the usual 21 or 22???

If..........IF.....what u said is true i guess that could very well be a bad sign indicating uni courses will be on the rise muhahahahaha.... *starts punching the wall*

anyways, on a more serious note, I'll be waiting for the confirmation, but as Captain pi was saying, they probably don't know who got 100UAI at this stage (well not the media anyway).

It was on channel 7 this morning. apparently on the newsreport students were saying they have already seen their marks. some were commenting on how they failed and etc. Did anyone watch channel 7 this morning. Could be a website like last year

lol... ahh all this weird stuff starts to happen before results come out!!!

well apparently they hacked in on the tuesday the week the results came out last yr... meh... if anything really did happen it should be on the 4:30 news anyway.

As I said, if its true surely itll be on the 4:30 news... if not, then i think we can conclude that Tommy was in fact asleep and merely having a pre-HSC results paranoia dream...lol j/k

it was a 15 minute news report on sunrise. this is all the information i know at the moment. I checked the channel 7 website its not there.

usually 15 per rank.. therefore arnd 15 wwill get 100 UAI. mayb a bit more but definately not 40+

Yeah my dad came home yesterday talking about how on Triple J people were calling up talking about their good HSC results, but I think he got it confused with VCE

Generally ~20 people get 100. And then it tends to be ~40 for every 0.05 increment thereafter.

There's a thread floating on BoS somewhere where Laz listed the number of recipients of 100 all the way down to around 99. It tends to be around ~20 and then ~40 from then on...so if you get 99.9 you're probably around the top 100 in terms of UAI.

There are certain percentages, but I can't quite remember them i.e. a certain percentage of the candidature gets 100, 99.95, 99.9 etc.
