Noise Cancelling Headphones for Study! (1 Viewer)

Hey BOSers,

I need some advice please! My Mum and my sister are always talking loud to each other or yelling at each other and I'm sick of it and I can already see it will be a problem for the year ahead when I'm trying to concentrate and get on with my work/study. I don't want to go to the library as I have a really great set up for it in my room and can concentrate and get my work done easily when their not home together! Do any of you have noise cancelling headphones or earphones for study/work etc. I also found these when I was looking up but I'm unsure if they will do the job and I really don't want to be spending more then 70 - 100 on it. It's not for playing music or anything like that it's just to put on my ears so I can no longer hear them .

I used these ones, personally I thought they were crap. The sound is good but it's not a tight fit, so sound still gets in easily.

have you had a look at in-ear ones? The sound quality is still good and they block out noise quite nicely.

A little more expensive then the ones you put up, but there are way more to choose from in the $50 price range if you have a look.

Yeah Monster JAMZs are great for passive noise cancelling, the sound quality is good and the material they use in the buds block out noises pretty well if you stick them in your ear correctly. (e.g when im walking the dogs I cant hear most cars with my headphones in, not really safe though).
Also the monster cabling is really good, thick, strong and durable. Great value for the price since they use metal instead of plastic and the jack is 24K gold platted.

btw i have theses ones which are $20 bucks cheaper not sure what the difference is

Industrial earmuffs work. My neighbours always pump their mega crappy music out loud and the earmuffs block pretty much all sounds.

OR, you can just tell them to shut up (or in a much nicer way)..but if you don't want to disrespect your mum then...get earmuffs
