my source is a usyd yearly study which takes graduates 6 months after completion of their degree and calculates their salary + employment details.

It makes sense when you put it in that perspective.

I can also remember reading about Tafe apprenticeships, "heavy machinery" etc. that upon completion (few years) the young lads are making 120K out in WA.

It is a relatively good deal, they work 3 weeks on, one week off and the company flies you back to perth in between
