i think you get a letter in advance.. maybe a week or so before the interview? sorry I can't be more specific, but I can't really remember and don't have the letter.

I got a small, postcard-style 'letter' today, which says:

Acknowledgement of Application to the UTS Bachelor of Information Technology course

Thank you for your application to the Bachelor of Information Technology Course.

Candidates will be notified in early November whether or not they have been selected for an interview.
