a lot of the stuff they tout on NOVa as being "new" is often a lot more than a couple of months old... esp the stuff that is not straight up pop.
now, the programmers work right in the music industry , so they must of course be aware of these songs much earlier than when they decide to play them? is it just that they only play the tracks once they deem them suitable for commercial listening? or do they wait until there has been an album released??
ie how they keep playing JET now... saying its new and good.. even though the songs they're playing have been around for yonks.. are they only playing it now because JEt have just released (or are about to?) release their album?
what are your thoughts on this...

i don't listen to nova, but maybe they like to play is safe and only play stuff that the listeners are familiar with so they don't tune to another station(?)

so crap..
cos they used to play stuff a bit earlier than when it became commercial..
looks like they are getting controlled tighter.. or they realised that more commercial = more ratings...............

Nova was a really progressive station when it first started but now it's just... mainstream. :( :( :(
