I'm just curious ;)

I'm new to University Life and to be honest, For me now it seems rather daunting. So much to do and learn. It seems completely different than school, and from many peoples perpectives, University is usually the best part of a persons life.

So I'm asking people whom study or have studied at UWS this question:
How is UWS? What is life as a Uni Student? What will I expect?

I'm thrilled at being given an offer at UWS and I can't wait to start! *counts down the days to semester start*

Yeah I've heard all those rumours that UWS was a bad Uni. Anybody know how the bad publicity started?

Expect more freedom with time, meeting new and sometimes strange people who say hi for no apparent reason....I think i might carry on that tradition, expect to get help only when you ask for it although the tutors are really helpful and expect from yourself to be really motivated and get to work if you want to have good grades.
The first thing is not to be scared because preoccupation with that might get you off track, think of it as school but more advanced well...first years get to make errors so yeah, no ones gonna rip on you for asking stupid questions as long as its not too stupid.
UWS is like any other uni, you come to learn. the environment is different to HS but you'll get used to it, you'll even mmiss it a bit since you get so much holidays you dont have anything to do. Just listen to the instructions on your enrolement day i.e. Academic Advising Session and you'll be set.
Units arent that hard, you'll be given a unit outline on the first day of lessons which tellyou what you are to learn and helpful info. READ IT! So many people forgot and put their assignment in the wrong place, so those are just some general hints.
Hope it helps.
