Sorry to barge on on this foofaraw, but I really couldn't resist.

If I have 20 000 workers doing fuck all in offices under bullshit positions like "Executive Director in charge of morale" created by the PSA for their mates, and you can stop these people existing and use the money to hire cops, nurses and teachers, you're going to get better services.
Once more, several of this services are nessecary. I've no problems with cutting out middlemen, IF they are indeed middlemen. Setting up a quota of people to fire when you reach government is not a good form of management, nor a good way to better services.

But yeah, that's all. I don't really think you can hold Debnam's failed business ventures against him that much. I mean, they're not great, but they're not really any worse than the way the ALP has been running the state recently (although the federal government should be helping more than it does). Besides, who really cares? I'm voting Rudd in federal politics, and indeed, that probably makes him a bit of a risk. I'd sure as hell run the risk of that though, then see a lacklustre incumbent power be returned to office. Pity about that jobs, IR and transport thing I guess...

I think you can hold it against him by alot... running a state is alot harder then some small business. And honestly what is this crap about Labor running that state heaps badly, what do you people actually take what the media dishes up as factual information? For eg I loved it when our hospitals were overflowing according to the media yet whilst I was at a couple of them they were virtually empty. One of many examples.

As said, the fact that he is making such a prediction is of concern... it looks more like he wants to sack hoenst hard working people to get himself into parliament as opposed to providing better services.

It was all costed by KPMG.
Lol well I havent seen any of it... eitherway Im sure some creative accounting did wanders because you cant increase for eg investment by 1 billion and decrease tax by 1 billion and somehow be able to afford the former.

And last time I checked Morris Iemma's run 1 economy which is nearing recession. Can't run a state, how's he gonna run a... wait
Yeeeeeah rite.... I spose indecisive Debnam who couldnt run small businesses will do better. Especially while cutting taxes and increasing spending - that will get us out of a near 'recession'. If what you say it somehow right, then we are doomed with Debnam!!!

Iemma changed his mind about 15 times as well.
Ummm hardly, all along the Desal plant was a go... there was speculation he was backing off it, but I dont think he ever said it wasnt gonna happen.... it was at the very least being considered all along. Debnam on the other hand definitively says no, then yes, then no... then realises what other options are their, so yes. Then they ask where you gonna put it? No answer. I wander why!

And Labor have had convicted felons for premiers (see: Brian Burke).
Yeah and back in friggin 1800BC there was a Premier who was a bad guy. Lets try to stick to the last millenium
Last time I checked the leader ballot was uncontested.
So what you gonna say next... its great for a party to continually change leadership? Im sorry but you cant defend it... much like Labor at the federal level Liberal has the same probs at the state level. They dont have a leader for more then 1 year, they are an unstable party.

I'm talking about the fact that our growth rate is the lowest in Australia, and how we are the highest taxed state in Australia.

He's not sacking anyone you uneducated cretin.

Um well maybe look it up for yourself and you might find it. How can the Libs be held responsible for your unwillingness to actually become informed about what you're having a bitch over?

Debnam hasn't said he would cut taxes an immense amount. That's a longer term plan once he re-rigs the public service.

I supposed Debnam hasn't been around promoting recycled water for the past month and attending community rallies against desal, then?

The WA government still thought it relevant enough they had to prevent MP's from meeting with him.

Iemma and Debnam have been in power for the same length of time.

If another person says Debnam/Coalition are set to SACK 20,000 workers it will only reflect on your lack of intelligence and inability to comprehend what the policy dictated. This is now beyond ideology in the realms of complete and utter ignorance.

I'll probably vote for labor, simply because they don't seem too bad. That's my problem with politics, i have no idea who's right or wrong cause all i get to see is media propaganda.

Look at the two major points of difference, being the hiring freeze followed by consolidation of 33 departments into 9, as well as water, and make your decision based on those.

Yeah, in the upper house, my support is with the minor parties.

I hope that the Greens do really well.

Electorate: Ku-Ring-Gai bazza o'fazza's safe safe safe seat.

Voting: Greens or Independent Lower house.

Upper: Greens 1, shooters 2. CDP like 1 billion.
I ended up following this man's line of reasoning,

1 Greens, 2 Liberal in lower house
1 Shooters, 2 Greens in upper house

or maybe it was just because the girl handing out the Greens' how to vote cards was really hot :/

WTF do you think cutting is retard? His plan is to merge the Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care with the departments of Community Services and Housing.... now when you cut 20,000 'positions' a great number of people are also going to be made unemployed. Now are you that f*cked in the head or do you not realise you cannot offer the same level of service from one large department that a number of more specialsied ones can? ESPECIALLY when you consider what he is merging, aging, disability, home care.... things which need a specialised service. Twat.

Um well maybe look it up for yourself and you might find it. How can the Libs be held responsible for your unwillingness to actually become informed about what you're having a bitch over?
No becuase its obvious they have fugged the books to make it look good. Reduce spending in areas people wont notice while increase it in areas people will. All balances out and looks great on paper.

Debnam hasn't said he would cut taxes an immense amount. That's a longer term plan once he re-rigs the public service
You cannot increase spending by vast amounts as he claims and cut taxes at all a the same time. His plans are floored, especially in a state which according to you is nearing recession lol. Its all doom and gloom!!!

I supposed Debnam hasn't been around promoting recycled water for the past month and attending community rallies against desal, then?
Denam is indecisive when it came to desal etc, if you deny this, then your obviously the kinda person that would argue the sky isnt blue and the grass aint green. Fact is labor has it right on the whole water issue, its not about securing one form of water, its about a number of sources. Recycled water for industry (no-one wants to drink their own shit... even though we know its not anymore) and desal for drinking water etc.

Iemma and Debnam have been in power for the same length of time.
Ok ok its great Liberals change leadership, we need a party in govt who is unstable. Geezus what a fairy!

You've done both (either?) to know?
Common sense mate.... Im assuming your passed primary school, it doesnt take Einstein to work out running a small business is ALOT easier then a friggin entire state...

But you take what the ALP dishes up as factual information?
Umm no. But things like him failing in 3 businesses can be trusted, afterall has Debnam denied these? No.... so they are factual information. The rest I can see for myself from interviews how incompetent Debnam is.

They occur during lunchtimes, oh UNSW student.

My old year 6 teacher marked my name off on the electoral roll. Oh what a joy that was.

The "how to vote..." flyers are very hilarious indeed. I've thrown them out and I can't remember them very well.
Examples.
For Labor, they told us to put Greens as 2nd.
Greens tell us to put Democrats as 2nd.
CDP tells us to put Liberals 2nd.

LOL LOL. They actually tell us who their favourite rival party is.
