I would have said the opposite. If they are going to lose anyway they might as well keep the union clowns on side so they'll continue donating to them when they are in opposition.

possibly, but i think the union has enough to do in defending all the guards (who been nominated for firing by the Boston report) - and will be a bit more lax on solving some of the middle-upper management problems. It'll work out as a compromise - firing a few managers instead of a few hundred guards (which should happen as well, but at least some progress will be made)
