Number of HSC subjects (1 Viewer)

When the BOS says it requires you to do four subjects to be eligible for the HSC, what does it mean by 'subject'? (That sounds like a wanky question, but please read on.) That is, if you do five units of history, does that constitute three subjects? Or, if you do four units of English, does that add up to three subjects?

If not, I'm doing three subjects (=ing me being fucked), but I've got a suspicion that even if the extensions aren't counted as separate subjects, Ancient and Modern are. I've taken it for granted up 'til now that these are separate, and I'm fairly sure that my school's career advisor would have told me if I wasn't eligible for the HSC, but I'm looking to avoid any situation where I might have overlooked things & yeah.

Edit: I've realised a better question is: I do Ext. 2 English, Ancient, Modern, Ext. History, and Economics- am I eligible for the HSC?

youve got 11 units there , with minimum of 2 units of english so yes, you are eligible for the HSC
