I thought i could get above 75 for my UAI before my results came out.. but after estimating a 73.25 i am really disappointed

Eng Adv 77
2u Maths 74
Economics 78
Chinese Continuers 85
Accounting 73

What are the chances of SAM being wrong? T____T" Only a day to go..........

Oh - do you guys think repeating is a very good choice? Taking into account that these marks were achieved with most of the year sleeping in, truanting, and not doing homework or studying?

i would neva personally repeat but u could if u wanted to........maybe if u tried harder ull do betta.......if u can get into ur course in any other way (eg TAFE) then dont waste a yr of ur life by repeating.......

jus outta curiosity wat do u all consider average marks(NOT based soley on this site) and wat do u consider reeli bad marks...??
I think everyone has their own expectations so what everyone considers average, good or bad varies. Also, depending on the effort you put, everyone will have a slight idea of what they should be able to achieve.

Personally, I've slacked off for the past 2 yrs, so I deserve a 60 or below! but I'm getting a 70 and I'm still not happy because I know I didn't try my best, or even at all.

well its good to know if you are ever stranded back in time (lets pretend it is possible without multiple time lines, resistant to change timelines, limited back in time travel via wormholes which couldnt go back to it in the first place, etc) then you can communicate well in two major eras.

English - 84
Maths - 98
Maths Ext 1 - 48
Phys - 90 (see english for why)
Chem - 90
Engineering Studies - 94
I thought you did Ext 2...

God dammit they just said we're the smartest class since the hsc was re-done... looks like uais will go down.
i dont think theyll go down that far cause in most subjects the amount of b6 is only a bit more than usual. for some there are less people getting b6. its these subjects you want to be doing well in. like geography

Some really excellent marks! But everyone knows thats UAI isn't the perfect judge of ability nor is it really important after you start uni (unless you plan on a transfer)

So those out there who are dissapointed with their marks shouldnt get too down.

As for being the smartest that just means that the marks are higher as a result of teachers and students becoming more familiar with the stucture of the now not so new HSC.
Your words made me feel happier. Thankyou.

And I hope the UAI will go up...not down...and the cut off goes down....hehehe

Ahhh crap. Is our UAI important if we want to transfer? Why?

What happened to maths? I didn't do it. Never liked it. I'm just a mystery in a riddle, wrapped by an enigma, eh? An asian who doesn't do maths, who would have thunk it?
