In the exam, I could not think of one technique for that question but reading the "prose extract" now I can see the metaphor so clearly.

for the last question, i think referring at least slightly to the third texts makes for a better answer (even though they don't specifically ask for it). this happened in my trials, where ppl who did all three texts got better marks than ppl who just talked about one (we only had to choose one, u see). they obviously can't mark you down, but maybe if you did three, they might be willing to give u the marks more easily? i dunno, hope so
