Does any1 know, who calculated the rank? School or BOS (the school only fed in the marks and the BOS calculated it, I mean)? If it is BOS, then my problem is not really a problem anyway (coz that means, my school has different way of calculating and rounding up our marks, anyway)

Hey you guys, i have a small question,
I've been overseas for 2 months during my year 12,
so my ranking dropped from 2nd to 3rd out of 4 students,
(I didn't want the 1st place anyway coz i knew i couldnt, the girl is damned smart)
However, i knew i could to much much much better in the actual HSC
than the boy who came 2nd at the final marks ,
As i expected he didnt even finish the exam (chemistry) and left in one hour,
so im predicting that he'll probably get like 25~35%(raw mark)
and Im expecting around 75~80%(raw mark)

Finally, My question is!!!!!!
would i get his HSC mark,
as my rank is below him?
or do i still get my original mark of HSC?

I'm personally outraged- physician got in first, goan crazy knew it, and yet he went ahead and started a pointless new thread on the topic. Senior Science: 6/11

and finally.....
Ancient: 16/32!

im the happiest about ancient because i came into the course not knowing 2 whole topics and get im ranked higher than half the year which did ancient the whole time i wasnt there!

English is good too, but then again im good at looking at things in depth. Drama i was expecting because we have so many talented girls in our class and they are super smart too!
Math is good as i came first in the class for every exam, so i was hoping it would show and im happy with my ranking.
senior science we have so many super smart girls there. i came first in science almost every year till year 12, when the girls became super smart (i like to use that phrase as you can see)

i wasnt expecting a first or anything, but i am a little disappointed overall i guess, i have high expectations for myself. But i can live with it, this is only part of it after all.

Are all of you happy?
what subjects do you most like/dislike in terms of your rankings? (no one who came first need answer these questions )

U get both, I think...
Because ur HSC marks is the average between ur moderated assessment mark (this is based on ur rank, which is most likely u'll be gaining his mark) and the actual result of ur exam...

Happy with music, modern and math. Not happy with english and ancient.

Got bad ranks in english and ancient because I missed a couple of assignments each. Kind of sucks.. ill probally get one of the top exam marks, but stuck with a 20% class mark
