Well, with offers coming out soon, and only *shock* 53 days untill Semester 1, 2008 begins, i thought we needed a pre-semester discussion thread

I have ~100000 books from Christmas that I need to read before semester starts, at which point I'll start drowning in papal decretals from the middle ages.

I need to start looking at rental properties and stuff at some point as well, hopefully I can avoid the train this year. Not that I have any money, but meh. I'll figure it out.

nah, i was thinking about doing it at usyd, but then i read theres no hecs-help available for the courses? wtf?

cant wait to transfer out of hellhole unsw to mq (heaps close) or usyd (quite close) or UTS (eh). cant stand travelling any more, i wanna suicide

Yeah it's only FEE-HELP so I ended up paying like $3.5k for Chemistry 1B including a 20% loan fee. Owned.

Is that no HECS-HELP for summer usyd only?

And you can summer session at usyd even though you don't go there? wtf?

Yeah, Usyd summer school is DFEE only. (You can still get FEE-HELP, though.)


Peepz who aren't checking their uni email: if you want your 2008 student card to have a concession stamp, you need to apply via MyUni by the 15th.

I concur with the two posters above. Not commuting, sleeping in, playing SMG and reading all my books every day is something that I both dig and regard as fucking rocking.

Although the only star left on SMG is that stupid speed one of Dreadnought, so I very well may just give up on that thing.
