In essays, for eg: Question 3 in the Area of study....do we need to write about things such as techniques used in the text. (Languages features etc)?

If so, what would be the features/techniques in On Giants Shoulders?

Yeah, its hard to find techniques in On Giants' Shoulders. I would say authorative quotes, personal anecdotes and vivid imagery are three that you could use.

hey,
the past paper marking guidelines all state pretty clearly that they want you to try and get some writing techniques in there.
they also say fairly clearly that it is best not to go to into the biographies, dont let it turn into a book report i got told by my english teacher...
