Hello fellow HSC students,

As you all know we have completed our HSC trials and are now on the home straight towards the end of our regular schooling lives.

For some people their trial marks may have been disheartening but as I like to say "Oh well, shit happens aye". So if you are one of those people keep your head held high and focus on improving your marks for the finals.

On the other hand people may be exstatic about their results and for those people, Congratulations and good luck in the finals.

After the last 13 years of school, we are finally near the end. So for those people who are feeling as if they can't get to the end, keep your head high and study like your life depends on it.

One final question, what marks did anyone get in their trial exams?

My marks so far are; 65% Maths General 2, 58% Modern History and 62% in Senior Science.

So good luck and I hope to be back soon with another thread of the final mark reveal... da da da.

HSC
2018
89% General (rank 1)
66% Advanced (mean mark)
85% Industrial Tech Multimedia (rank 3)
82% Legal (rank 4)
80% Economics (rank 3)
90% Business (rank 2)

Happy with all of these to be honest, I'm happy for having good marks in these subjects, except for general, economics and business I improved on the whole. 66% in advanced sounds like a disaster but I used to consistently get bottom 5 in advanced yet I got smack bang on the average in trials when trying to improve. Internals are useless when compared to actual HSC, because they get scaled, when you lose the marks don't lose the lesson ;) and do your best to improve using the feedback (trials are the last time you will get feedback in an assessment). I did my best this set of exams and that's all that matters in internals.

Chem mark looks bad but was slightly above average because our marking is really harsh.

3U was terrible and my worst result in trials by a long shot.

Congrats on 4U , can't help but be a little envious of your mark [emoji23]
Out of interest, which paper did you do?

My school's math department writes their own papers.

Apparently the difficulty is on par with the HSC.

Awesome! Wish CSSA had this mentality. Congrats again on your mark :)

Pretty happy overall, Chem could've been slightly better, and 4U would've been better if I studied more ;)

I'm really disappointed. Fluked two exams even though I studied my ass off for them. I had never gotten marks below 85 in year 12 until the trials. Cost my 1st ranking in eco ugh.

92% - English Advanced (91 in P1, 92 in P2)
72% - Maths
96% - Legal
79% - Economics
95% - Multimedia
