I think that's surprisingly low!

I blame that damn Section III in the exam. I think last years was pretty unfair... I mean 8 marks on the ethics of market research - it's not even from the syallabus (well - not clearly).

Ouch.

And yeah, last year, only 8 people in the whole state got a band 6 for SDD out of the 3330 people doing it.

Your UAI is calculated from scaled raw marks, not the silly 'aligned' marks reported by the Board.

The bands don't mean anything when it comes to your UAI.

Only ~30% of HSC students continue on to university. The aligned marks (and the entire standards-referenced system) were designed so that people (such as employers) would know exactly what a student achieved. In reality, no-one uses them. :p

Nope, we're all going to die eventually, yadda yadda yadda. Of course it matters - you wouldn't be doing it if it didn't.
