In the syllabus it says we learn about Historical reasons for development including;
need for greter productivity
recognition of repetitive standard tasks
desire to solve different problem types
recognition of range of building blocks
emerging technologies
and also about the basic building blocks, but the book im using doesnt cover any of this and our teacher didnt tell us anything about this, so could someone maybe just go over some of the things i need to know? Thanks

Are you using heinemann? Its evolution chapter really has little to do with the topic apart from the last few pages.

Hey parry would you like some notes on evolution of programming languages, I had the same book as you so I know how you feel, but our teacher photocopied notes from other textbooks and I summarised them together taking the most relevant bits out of them.
