As a valued OptusNet customer, we wanted you to be the first to hear about a FREE data bonus exclusive to OptusNet Cable customers!

As of 1st January 2004, you will receive a data bonus, which will be effective during January and February.

The size of your data bonus depends on your current plan. So, if you are on the:

Lite 550MB you will be entitled to 3GB of data per month
Standard 3GB you will be entitled to 6GB of data per month
Pro 6GB you will be entitled to 15GB of data per month
Ultimate 15GB you will be entitled to 20GB of data per month
This substantial increase in your monthly data allowance means you can relax and experience even more of what the Internet has to offer at lightning fast speeds.

We are also delighted to advise that we are introducing exciting new OptusNet Cable plans on March 1, 2004. As an existing OptusNet customer, you will receive details of these plans in mid-January.

So please enjoy your data bonus until the new plans are launched.

Can't really be too happy until the release the new plans.

But I'd thank Telstra for it, not Optus...

OptusNet releases plan changes
IN BRIEF | Optus have announced temporary upgrades to their current OptusNet Cable plans, ahead of a more significant annoucement early next year.

The $64.95 'Lite' plan will be boosted from 550MB to 3GB. For users comfortable on the current 3GB plan, this constitutes a $15 price reduction.

The $79.95 'Standard' plan will be doubled from 3GB to 6GB, whilst the 'Pro' and 'Ultimate' plan will offer 15GB and 20GB respectively.

These upgrades will take effect from January 2004; new pricing for OptusNet Cable will be announced early next year to coincide with OptusNet's ADSL product launch in March.

They're not "new" plans, but they are plan changes, including data bonuses and plan "upgrades". They are still under the same plans (names, Lite, Standard, Pro, Ultimate), but with greater data allowances, with the 'Lite' plan being the most generous in terms of the upgrade, from 550MB to 3GB.

The 'Standard' plan is also generous, doubling their quota from 3 to 6GB per month.

i dont under stand how ppl surivive on that lite plan.. 3gb isnt enuff for my parents let alone the 4 of us here. Not that 6gb is much... i want unlimited back... Optarse tards.
