English is the worst subject ever created by mankind. There is never a correct answer and everything is marked by markers, who's own opinions and beliefs influence their markings.....it just sucks balls.

Since they changed the HSC English course from studying 'modern' english to 'post-modern' english, there has been very little positive feedback among teachers or students. I believe the idea for a compolsory back-to-basics english course as part of a national certificate has a lot of merit, allowing the interested students the choice to deconstruct texts and analyse values, but ensuring all first have a basic grasp of the national language.

NSW HSC English is too subjective, too underfined and too politically correct.

Unfortuntely, i doubt they'll be changing much in the next 6 days
