has anybody been able to overclock
their CPU over 3.6 MHz on air

It appears that there are too many douche bags here...

Try checking out: Latest OCAU News - Overclockers Australia
and i wouldn't recommend overclocking with air, on a hot(hummid) day you could burn your CPU out.
Its pretty hard to burn out a CPU these days as they all have failsafes built into them. If they get too hot the PC will usually shut itself down.

I wanted to overclock but my m/board is so low end that it is literally impossible.

I ran my 2500+ barton at 3200+ speeds for years. Don't really give a fuck anymore.

Umm...Nothing that special. Like seriously, those temps are too high for idle...Run Prime95 for about 5 hours and see what happens.

I am considering overclocking my netbook
LOL. I don't know if that will work, considering heat and stability issues in a netbook. No harm in trying once anyway, as long as you don't do anything stupid like increase voltages.

Overclocking is when you increase the CPU speed manually (through the BIOS). You do this when you upgrade specific parts of your computer, mostly the fan, since the main issue with overclocking is overheating.

The only time I overclocked my comp, it blew up.

The MSI wind has overclocking built into the new bios version, it overclocks up to 25%
