i had a female friend who went on one back when she did hsc and she had a great time. If you've got some good mates and you're safety conscious then i doubt you'll have any problems. P&O have had so much flak because cheap cruises attract the wrong type of people - however they've been trying very hard to clean up their image, and make the boat safe for everyone.
