P2P/torrent that work with a proxy (1 Viewer)

are there any p2p or torrent programs that work through a proxy?

i'm behind my universitys proxy and it doesn't let me get these programs connected. limewire has the settings but when i eneter them it still wont connect, it there a way to get around it or a program that works or one that gets past it...
i just live on campus and it shits me that i cant download when there is a perfectly goot 1.5mbps line to use!!!

you're asking for trouble using P2P software in any University.

most unis setup a firewall on proxy level to stop students from using such programs anyway.

if you want to download music i know good forums where people share music, you might consider that as an option

try using eMule, I think you can enter your on proxy server with it! :)

If you have your sources, there is/was a gmail p2p program under plan, not sure of its existence now though, but could be an option :p

The bittorrent listening ports are probably blocked, there are 2 ways to get around this, the first is to convince the admin to forward the port to your computer or, if you have access to a remote server like www.clearphp.com that has php and mysql support you could use a program like http://www.torrentflux.com/ to download the torrent file to the remote server and then download from the remote server to your computer using http.
