Nay. I don't like the idea of a brand name stamped across my ass. My ass may be approximately the size of a billboard but it doesn't mean I want to advertise on it.
If it's not a name but just random words, I may consider it, but I don't get the point of having text on my trousers. People read tshirts. Who reads pants?

are you talking about that Hongkie style jeans, where on the back pocket there is the letter that looks like a "W" ???

I've got my flairs with SOUL. MIND. FIST. printed down the front right leg, but I did that myself after getting out of my skull to sepultura for 3 days...

any type of lettering/patterns/etc on the back of pants is wrong.
i was going to buy a pair of pants, but then i look at the back of them and saw there was writing all over one side of the back.
i put them back on the rack and never looked at them again.

my jeans have 'refuge R' (refuge = brand name) on the back of the waist band. it's not completely obvious since it's on the band, but it's still fairly large (height of the band, goes across most of the back).
i saw some dodgy ones a couple of days ago (i think it was tightrope) which had small-ish writing on the front of one leg just below the pocket and then had this fairly large (10cm long?), really ghey sticker promoting the brand over about 1/2 of it. i guess you could peel it off, but it just looks really stupid having the sticker there. it reminded me of the photos of last year's bos stall (uts i think) with all the girls having bos stickers all over them..but 100 times dodgier
